Review: Kokkeriet
Kokkeriet may appear as a cozy neighborhood restaurant where locals dine on a Wednesday night.
Don’t be fooled. This is fine dining, as the restaurant holds one Michelin star. From the outside, the restaurant looks inviting, but the interior is somewhat sterile. However, the service and the pace of food arriving are impeccable. The highlight of the evening was “The Rising Four”, where four upcoming young chefs served one dish each, free of charge, only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays if we understood it correctly. The wine list was expensive, and it was hard to find a bottle of wine under 1,000 DKR. Why?
We commend the young and talented chefs for their chance to showcase their skills. To be frank, two of them outshone the original dishes.
Downside
- The layout of the restaurant
- Uncomfortable chair for 3-4 hours dinner
- The service staff is very formal and reserved
Upside
- Deliver a one-star experience
- The Four Rising Chefs
