Review: Waldorf Astoria Bangkok

We were wondering if the Waldorf Astoria could meet the expectations of its famous name.

Being a newly opened hotel, conveniently located within walking distance to malls and BTS Skytrain, we had high expectations from this place as it was our last stop in Thailand after staying at Rosewood Phuket. However, after spending two nights, we were left disappointed and decided to find another hotel in the city.

Although the breakfast itself was fantastic but the restaurant was overcrowded, so we suggest eating early if you do choose to stay here. As we informed the reception about checking out, the manager tried to convince us to stay by offering a better room and free drinks, but we declined and decided to move to Rosewood instead. As we were walking down the hall to grab our luggage, an unbearable smell filled the air due to a major plumbing system breakdown on our floor.

The manager was waiting in the lobby with the last excuse and gave us her business card as the Food and Beverage Manager… However, we informed her that there was a bigger problem on level 4.
